Dylan Goldby, my long time friend and one of my favorite photographers, got in touch with me recently to shoot a video for Lendyl and Samantha’s wedding proposal. During their trip in Korea this November, Lendyl would surprise Samantha in a little Korean Hanok we had prepared before time. Under the excuse of a photo shoot, we led them through the traditional streets of Bukcheon until we reached a door with a rose and a note.
I shot the video while Dylan covered photos. At this point it was quite obvious what was going on. Each note was prepared with a photo of one of their travels. Inside the house we had 6 more resting on white rose arrangements, leading into a bouquet.
Reaching the bouquet, the moment of truth.
She said yes! After capturing the essentials, we gave the couple a moment to gather themselves before we continued shooting. We toured the streets some more as the sun came down, concluding at Cheonggyecheon stream under traditional lanterns. In the end we had a very happy couple some great photos and a video to commemorate the moment.
If you’re looking to shoot your Seoul proposal or engagement, be sure to get in touch, and for more photos from the day check out Dylan’s blog!
